What to Expect During a Session

Hypnosis is a very powerful technique that takes the mind to different levels of consciousness and brainwave activity.

Different techniques are used in each session, and the therapist’s voice creates hypnotic deepenings, inductions and relaxation, which lowers brain wave frequency into the alpha–theta realms.

This allows the hypnotherapist to make suggestions for achieving goals and improving mental, emotional and physical wellbeing.

The hypnotic state is completely voluntary, and the recipient is always in control. You will be aware of everything that is happening and being said throughout the session.

However, you will be so deeply relaxed that you may find yourself drifting into different levels of awareness. Remember, your subconscious mind is active throughout, and it is this that your therapist is working with, making suggestions to and updating your beliefs in.

You will find afterwards that the suggestions given to you during hypnosis will surface in your conscious mind to produce positive changes in your ways of thinking and relating.
